NEW YORK – UNB! Network NHL/hockey blog 'The Neutral Zone' has named Sebastian Aho, Mika Zibanejad, and William Nylander as their 'Theee Stars of the Night' for the National Hockey League games taking place on March 9, 2017.
FIRST STAR - SEBASTIAN AHO, F, CAROLINA HURRICANES
Aho scored two power-play goals in the third period to reach the 20-goal mark in the Hurricanes' 4-3 win over the New York Rangers.
SECOND STAR - MIKA ZIBANEJAD, F, NEW YORK RANGERS
In the Rangers 4-3 loss to Carolina, Zibanejad has two power-play goals in the second period.
THIRD STAR - WILLIAM NYLANDER, F, TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS
Nylander scored his ninth power-play goal of 2016-17 to tie the Maple Leafs record for most in a season by a rookie.
