Canucks place Prust, Flames place Raymond on waivers

Two noticable roster moves have been made as of early Tuesday afternoon.

The first move is that the Vancouver Canucks placed Brandon Prust on waivers.  The second move is that the Calgary Flames placed Mason Raymond on waivers.

In 35 games played with the Canucks this season, Prust has only managed one goal and six assists. For Raymond, in 29 games played with the Flames this season, he has managed four goals and one assist.

Vancouver Canucks forward Brandon Prust has been fined $5,000 for spearing Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand during NHL Game No. 396 in Vancouver on Saturday, Dec. 5, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 18:00 of the third period. Prust was assessed a 10-minute misconduct penalty.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
