RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has assigned defenseman Michal Jordan (MIH-kahl yohr-DAHN) to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL) for a conditioning stint.
Jordan, 25, has played in 10 games with the Hurricanes this season. The Zlin, Czech Republic, native is in his sixth professional season, and has scored two goals and earned four assists (6 points) in 53 career NHL games with the Hurricanes.
Jordan has skated in 297 career AHL regular-season games with Charlotte, scoring 20 goals and earning 72 assists (92 points). The Hurricanes drafted Jordan in the fourth round, 105th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.
In 2014-15, Jordan had two goals, 4 assists, 6 points, and a plus-minus of -7.
