BRUINS 3, CANADIENS 1

MONTREAL (AP) — Loui Eriksson and Landon Ferraro scored third-period goals 42 seconds apart and Patrice Bergeron added a milestone goal to help the Boston Bruins rally past Montreal 3-1 Wednesday night and end a seven-game regular-season skid against the rival Canadiens.

Bergeron's third-period goal pushed him past Milt Schmidt for 11th on the Bruins' career list with 576 points.

That score capped a three-goal rally by Boston. Eriksson tied the game 1-all with his 11th goal 7:53 into the final period, and Ferraro scored on a wrist shot 42 seconds later.

Paul Byron scored for Montreal 8:49 into the first, and the Canadiens lost their season-high third straight.

Tuukka Rask stopped 32 shots to help Boston win for the second time in five games since ending a five-game win streak.

Boston hadn't beaten Montreal since March 12, 2014.

CANUCKS 2, RANGERS 1

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Daniel Sedin and Alexander Edler each had a goal and an assist to lift Vancouver over New York.

Henrik Sedin added two assists for Vancouver, and Ryan Miller made 32 saves. The Canucks won consecutive games for the first time since Oct. 30 and Nov. 2.

Dan Boyle scored on a penalty shot for the Rangers, and Henrik Lundqvist made 23 saves.

Daniel Sedin scored the winner on a slick deflection down low at 9:24 of the third period off a slap pass from Edler for his 13th of the season just 40 seconds after Boyle tied the game 1-all.

PENGUINS 4, AVALANCHE 2

DENVER (AP) — Beau Bennett and Olli Maatta combined for three goals in 3:24 during the third period and Pittsburgh rallied to beat Colorado.

Bennett had two goals during the flurry and Maatta had the winner. Maatta also had an assist.

Bennett tied it at 2 with a backhander at 7:19 of the third, and Maatta put the Penguins ahead 2:05 later when his sharp-angle shot went off goalie Reto Berra and popped up in the air. The puck hit the crossbar and went off Colorado's John Mitchell and into the net.

Bennett scored his second of the night and fifth of the season 1:19 later.

Marc-Andre Fleury had 24 saves for Pittsburgh, and Matt Cullen also scored.

Matt Duchene and Erik Johnson scored first-period goals for the Avalanche. Berra finished with 29 saves.

OILERS 4, SHARKS 3 (OT)

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Taylor Hall scored at 3:59 of overtime and Edmonton edged San Jose for its fourth straight victory.

Leon Draisaitl, Jordan Eberle and Iiro Pakarinen also scored for the Oilers.

The Sharks lost their fifth straight. Justin Braun, Patrick Marleau and Joe Pavelski scored for San Jose.

Draisaitl set up Hall's winner with a pass on a 2-on-1 that Hall tipped in for his 12th of the season.

Pakarinen made it 3-all with 4:37 left, and Anders Nilsson had 27 saves for the Oilers.
