Jagr, Hutton, Tkachuk named our 'Three Stars of the Night'

NEW YORK -- UNB! Network NHL/hockey blog 'The Neutral Zone' has named Jaromir Jagr, Carter Hutton, and Matthew Tkachuk as their 'Theee Stars of the Night' for the National Hockey League games taking place on February 15, 2017.

FIRST STAR - JAROMIR JAGR, F, FLORIDA PANTHERS

Jagr became the fifth player (third skater) to play in an NHL game after turning 45 (Gordie Howe, Chris Chelios, Moe Roberts, Johnny Bower). He also collected an assist in the third period to reach the 1,900-point milestone (759-1,141—1,900). Jagr  joins Wayne Gretzky (894-1,963—2,857) as the only players in NHL history to register 1,900 career points.

SECOND STAR - CARTER HUTTOM, G, ST. LOUIS BLUES

Hutton turned aside all 25 shots he faced to backstop the Blues to their fifth consecutive win. Hutton registered his third shutout in his last four appearances (also Feb. 6 at PHI and Jan. 24 at PIT).

THIRD STAR - MATTHEW TKACHUK, F, CALGARY FLAMES

Tkachuk (1-1—2) registered his eighth multi-point game of the season as the Flames improved to 5-2-0 in their last seven contests.
