NEW YORK -- UNB! Network NHL/hockey blog "The Neutral Zone" has named Alexander Radulov, the duo of Connor McDavid and Zack Kassian, and Sidney Crosby as their "Three Stars of the Night" for all NHL playoff games that took place on April 14, 2017.
FIRST STAR - ALEXANDER RADULOV, F, MONTREAL CANADIENS
Radulov (1-2—3) scored at 18:34 of overtime as the Canadiens evened their series at 1-1. Radulov scored his first career overtime goal in the postseason and notched his first career three-point playoff game.
SECOND STAR(S) - CONNOR McDAVID AND ZACK KASSIAN, Fs, EDMONTON OILERS
McDavid and Kassian each scored shorthanded goals as the Oilers evened their series. McDavid (20y, 91d) is youngest Oilers player to score in the postseason since M. Gelinas (19y, 319d) in Game 2 of 1990 DF.
THIRD STAR - SIDNEY CROSBY, F, PITTSBURGH PENGUINS
Crosby (1-2—3) posted his 11th career three-point playoff game to lead the Penguins to a 2-0 series lead.
