Blackhawks trade Morin to Maple Leafs for Panik

The Chicago Blackhawks and Toronto Maple Leafs traded forwards Sunday, with Chicago sending Jeremy Morin to Toronto for Richard Panik.

Morin, 24, has spent parts of the past five seasons with the Blackhawks before being traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Dec. 14, 2014. He was reacquired by the Blackhawks on June 30, 2015.

Thrashers in the 2009 NHL Draft, has 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) and 69 penalty minutes in 82 NHL games.


Panik, 24, was playing with the AHL's Toronto Marlies after scoring 11 goals and finishing with 17 points in 76 games for the Maple Leafs in 2014-15. Toronto claimed him on waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Oct. 8.
