HOCKEY HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CELEBRATION

The Hockey Hall of Fame inducts five players and two builders tonight – and also honors two media members (Dave Strader and Cam Cole) – as part of its class of 2017. Click the links below for more information on each inductee.

* ICYMI: Selanne and Kariya, who were teammates in Anaheim and Colorado, reunited on the ice in the annual Haggar Hockey Hall of Fame Legends Classicat Air Canada Centre in advance of today’s induction ceremony.

WOOD’S FIRST CAREER HAT TRICK POWERS DEVILS TO VICTORY

Miles Wood (3-1—4) registered his first career hat trick and four-point game and the Devils overcame an early 4-1 deficit to defeat the Blackhawks and improve to 11-4-2 this season (24 points).

* Elias notes that New Jersey overcame a three-goal deficit to win a game in regulation for the first time since April, 18, 2006 at MTL. It also marked the first time the Devils scored seven goals on the road since Nov. 23, 2008 at TBL (7-3 W).

* The teams combined for six goals in the first period, marking the seventh time this season that one period featured at least six combined goals. The only instance in 2017-18 with more combined goals in a period came on Oct. 7 when the Maple Leafs (5) and Rangers (2) totaled seven goals in the first period.

* Nico Hischier, the first overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft, tallied 1-2—3 to record his second career three-point game. Hischier shares second in points among NHL rookies with 3-11—14 in 17 games, three points behind Arizona’s Clayton Keller (11-6—17 in 19 GP).

KUCHEROV JOINS STAMKOS IN 30-POINT CLUB, LIGHTNING SWEEP ROAD TRIP

Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos each collected an assist on Tampa Bay’s opening goal as the clubcompleted a sweep of its California road trip, extending its road win streak to six games.

* The Lightning (14-2-2, 30 points) became the first team to reach 30 points this season, a mark they hit in their 27th game in 2016-17.

* According to Elias, Stamkos (8-23—31) and Kucherov (16-14—30) – who rank first and second in League scoring, respectively – became just the third set of teammates in the past 21 years to each record 30 or more points before the team’s 20th game of the season. The other instances in that span occurred in 2005-06, when players from both the Senators (Daniel Alfredsson, Dany Heatley andJason Spezza) and Flyers (Peter Forsberg andSimon Gagne) combined for the feat.

* The Lightning have won at least six consecutive road games for the fourth time in club history – the record of seven straight road wins was set from Jan. 7 – Feb. 1, 2007.

STREAKS ON THE LINE IN BOTH OF TONIGHT'S GAMES

Three players look to extend lengthy point streaks when they take the ice tonight:

* Stars forward Alexander Radulov (4-6—10 in 7 GP) will look to extend his point streak to eight games when Dallas begins a three-game road trip in Carolina. Radulov, who signed a five-year contract with the Stars in July, has had one point streak of at least eight games in his career, in 2007-08 with the Predators (8-2—10 in 8 GP).

* Flames teammates Johnny Gaudreau (4-6—10 in 6 GP) and Sean Monahan (3-5—8 in 6 GP) each aim for points in seven consecutive games when they take on the Western Conference-leading Blues. Gaudreau (6-16—22) is tied for fourth in League scoring with Blues forward Jaden Schwartz (9-13—22) and Penguins forward Phil Kessel (7-15—22), while Monahan shares second in the NHL with four game-winning goals.
