The Lightning scored eight times in a game for the first time since Feb. 1, 2013 (8-3 W vs. WPG) to improve to 10-2-1 this season. Elias notes that the Lightning required the fewest games to reach the 10-win mark in franchise history.

* Steven Stamkos (2-1—3) has collected at least one point in 12 of 13 games this season and leads the NHL with 6-18—24 overall. Nikita Kucherov (1-1—2) scored his League-leading 13th goal of the season and has also registered at least one point in 12 of 13 games (13-8—21).

* Andrei Vasilevskiy (18 saves) extended his personal win streak to nine games to become the first goaltender in franchise history to earn wins in nine consecutive appearances, eclipsing the mark set by Nikolai Khabibulin from Feb. 23 – March 6, 2004 (8-0-0).

* Vasilevskiy improved to 10-1-0 overall this season (2.46 GAA, .927 SV%, 1 SO). Elias notes that he matched the single-season NHL record for wins in the month of October.
CANADIENS NOTCH EIGHT GOALS IN NHL100 CLASSIC PREVIEW

The Canadiens notched eight goals in a game for the first time since Dec. 10, 2016 (10-1 W vs. COL) to defeat the Senators in their first of four meetings this season, including the 2017 Scotiabank NHL100 Classic on Dec. 16 at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa.

SCHWARTZ HELPS BLUES IMPROVE TO 10-2-1

Jaden Schwartz (1-1—2) registered his fifth multi-point game of the season to help the Blues earn their fourth consecutive win and improve to 10-2-1 overall. Elias notes that the Blues hit the 10-win mark in their first 13 games of a season for the first time since 2002-03 (also 10-2-1). Elias adds that the Blues, the only team without a home loss of any kind in 2017-18, have won each of their first five home games of a season for the first since 2010-11 (6-0-0).
