PANTHERS 5, SABRES 1
BUFFALO, N.Y. - Jaromir Jagr scored his team-leading 14th goal, and the Florida Panthers extended their franchise-record winning streak to 10 games with a 5-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night.
Derek MacKenzie, Jonathan Huberdeau, Brandon Pirri and Corban Knight also scored for Atlantic Division-leading Florida in the opener of a season-high six-game road trip. Roberto Luongo made 31 saves to improve his career record against Buffalo to 18-7.
Ryan O'Reilly scored for the Sabres, who have lost five straight games in regulation and fell to 0-4-1 in their last five home games.
BLACKHAWKS 3, PENGUINS 2
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Artemi Panarin beat Marc-Andre Fleury 3:47 into overtime to lift Chicago past Pittsburgh.
Panarin finished with two goals, including the winner off a feed from Patrick Kane as Chicago fended off resilient Pittsburgh, which rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the third period behind goals from Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang.
Jonathan Toews got his 14th goal of the season for Chicago. Kane finished with two assists to boost his point total to an NHL-best 59. Corey Crawford made 34 saves for the Blackhawks, who have won four straight.
Crosby scored his 12th of the season and sixth in six games to start Pittsburgh's comeback. Letang added his fourth with a shot from the point with 2:50 to play to force overtime. Fleury stopped 27 shots in the first game of a home-and-home with the defending Stanley Cup champions.
CAPITALS 3, BRUINS 2
BOSTON (AP) — Evgeny Kuznetsov had a goal and an assist and the Washington beat Boston to end a season-high two-game skid.
Andre Burakovsky and Marcus Johansson also scored for the Capitals, who beat the Bruins for the fourth straight time and moved into the NHL lead with 61 points.
Braden Holtby faced only 14 shots through the first two periods and finished with 29 saves for Washington.
Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin had just two shots and remained at 496 career goals.
Patrice Bergeron had a goal and assist and Loui Eriksson also scored for Boston. Tuukka Rask made 26 saves
RANGERS 6, STARS 2
NEW YORK (AP) — Derek Stepan scored two goals and Ricky Nash had three assists to lead the Rangers past Western Conference-leading Dallas.
Jayson Megna had a goal and an assist, Kevin Klein had two assists and Keith Yandle, Derick Brassard and Viktor Stalberg added goals for the Rangers, who improved to 22-14-4. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 22 of 24 shots.
John Klingberg and Antoine Roussel scored for Dallas, which fell to 28-10-4. Antti Niemi made 23 saves.
The Stars lost their second straight in regulation and finished their three-game trip to the New York area 0-2-1 against New Jersey, the Islanders and Rangers while getting outscored 15-9.
WILD 4, BLUE JACKETS 2
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Zach Parise scored his fourth career hat trick and second this season to lead Minnesota past last-place Columbus.
Parise's empty-net goal with 57 seconds left gave Minnesota a 3-1 lead. Nick Foligno cut the deficit to one 41 seconds later, a goal that was challenged by the Wild but upheld.
Mikael Granlund won the ensuing faceoff and scored into Columbus' empty net again 2 seconds later. The two goals 2 seconds apart tied an NHL record.
Granlund also had two assists, as did Ryan Suter.
Wild forward Mikko Koivu went hard into the boards after a shove by David Savard and was taken to the hospital. There was no immediate update on his status.
Cam Atkinson scored for the Blue Jackets.
FLYERS 4, CANADIENSD 3
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Brayden Schenn had a goal and two assists to help Philadelphia beat Montreal to snap a three-game losing streak.
Wayne Simmonds, Shayne Gostisbehere and Sean Couturier also scored for the Flyers.
Brendan Gallagher, Daniel Carr and Alex Galchenyuk netted goals for the Canadiens, who capped an eight-game road stretch 2-6. The Canadiens will return home on Wednesday night New Jersey for their first game at the Bell Centre since Dec. 17.
Montreal has lost 12 of 15 overall.
FLAMES 3, LIGHTNING 1
CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — Matt Stajan and David Jones gave Calgary the lead, and Karri Ramo stopped 30 shots to lead the Flames.
Lance Bouma added an empty-netter with just under a minute left and Mark Giordano had two assists to help the Flames move past Anaheim and into third place in the Pacific Division.
Ramo, coming off a 26-save shutout against Colorado on Saturday night, extended his scoreless streak to a personal-best 152 minutes, 55 seconds before Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos found the back of the net with 1:39 left in the third period.
Ben Bishop made 21 saves for the Lightning.
JETS 4, PREDATORS 1
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Drew Stafford scored a pair of power-play goals to lead Winnipeg past Nashville.
Ben Chiarot and Alexander Burmistrov also scored and Connor Hellebuyck made 43 saves for the Jets. Hellebuyck turned aside 17 shots in the first, 12 in the second and 14 in the third.
Colin Wilson had the lone goal for Nashville, which has lost three of four.
Winnipeg scored the only goal of the first, when Stafford connected on the power play at 10:43.
