Grand Rapids' Griffins player and Detroit Red Wings prospect Alden Hirschfeld had a seizure on the bench during an AHL game between the Griffins and the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday.
When the seizure began, Griffins coach Todd Nelson and Herschfeld's teammates signaled the referees to stop play so that Herschfeld got receive medical attention.
After the game, the Griffins announced that Herschfeld had suffered the seizure, but was in stable condition and resting in a hospital.
