AHL Announces Suspensions Of Nevins And O'Brien

"The Neutral Zone" Suspension Report

The American Hockey League on Saturday announced the following suspensions:

Rochester Americans left wing Jack Nevins was suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of his actions in a game against Hartford on December 18th.

Nevins was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline) for leaving the players’ bench on a legal line change for the purpose of starting an altercation. 

He missed Rochester’s games last night (Dec. 19) vs. Albany, December 26th against Utica and December 27th against Hartford.

Hershey Bears left wing Liam O'Brien was also suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his match penalty for an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game at Lehigh Valley on Dec. 18.

He missed Hershey’s game last night (December 19) against Toronto.
