AHL Announces Suspensions

"The Neutral Zone" Suspension Report

The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Ontario Reign defenseman Kurtis MacDermid has been suspended for twelve games as a consequence of his match penalty for an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game at San Diego on December 26.

MacDermid will miss Ontario’s next 12 scheduled games. He will be eligible to return to the lineup on January 23, 2016.

San Diego Gulls center Joseph Cramarossa has been suspended for one game as a consequence of his actions in a game at Bakersfield on December 27.

Cramarossa was assessed an instigator penalty within the final five minutes of the third period, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension under the provisions of AHL Rule 46.22. He will miss San Diego’s game Thursday, December 31, at Texas.
