Devils sign G Blackwood to multi-year contract

The New Jersey Devils today signed goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood to a three-year entry-level contract. The announcement was made by Devils' Executive Vice President/General Manager Ray Shero.

Blackwood, 19, was selected by New Jersey in the second round, 42nd overall, of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. The native of Thunder Bay, Ontario was one of three goaltenders named to Team Canada's roster for the World Junior Championships, which are currently underway in Helsinki, Finland.
