Frederik Andersen (22 saves) earned his second straight shutout (also Jan. 23 vs. CGY) and four different skaters scored to help the Toronto Maple Leafs extend their record road point streak to 11 games (9-0-2), including four consecutive wins.
* At 23-14-9 (55 points), the Maple Leafs leapfrogged the idle Boston Bruins (24-21-6, 54 points) for sole possession of third place in the Atlantic Division. Toronto holds five games in hand.
* Andersen earned consecutive shutouts for the first time in his NHL career and is 21-10-8 this season (2.55 GAA, .921 SV%, 3 SO).
* Auston Matthews opened the scoring and leads all rookies in goals (23) and game-winning goals (5). Elias notes that Matthews became the first Maple Leafs rookie to score five game-winning goals in a season since Steve Thomas in 1985-86.

OILERS BLANK DUCKS, EXTEND POINT STREAK TO SEVEN GAMES
Cam Talbot (26 saves) picked up his fourth shutout of the season to help the Edmonton Oilers defeat the Anaheim Ducks and push their point streak to seven games (6-0-1).
* At 27-15-8 (62 points), the Oilers moved within a point of the Ducks (27-15-9, 63 points) for second place in the Pacific Division. Edmonton holds a game in hand.
* Talbot extended his personal point streak to six games (5-0-1) and is 25-12-7 (2.36 GAA, .921 SV%, 4 SO).
* Leon Draisaitl scored twice to extend his point streak to five games (3-3-6). Draisaitl leads the Oilers with 19 goals (50 GP), which matches his total from 2015-16 (72 GP).
