New York Rangers forward Kevin Hayes had an MRI Monday morning and will be sidelined for 2 to 3 weeks with a lower body injury.
Hayes was "limping stiffly" in the Rangers locker room in the Rangers' 1-0 overtime win on Sunday against the Detroit Red Wings, and had a brace on his left knee/leg.
Hayes (6'5", 215 lbs.) has posted 13 goals and 22 assists for 35 points in 47 games with the Rangers this season. He has a plus-18 plus-minus rating, along with 10 penalty minutes this season.
