From the Detroit Free Press.
The Detroit Red Wings today recalled goaltender Jared Coreau from the American Hockey League’s Grand Rapids Griffins.
Wings general manager Ken Holland said one of the team's regular goalies is sick, though he didn't specify whether it was Petr Mrazek or Jimmy Howard.
Coreau, 24, has won each of his last six AHL starts, helping the Griffins to a 12-game winning streak overall, the second-best run in franchise history.
The 6-foot-5, 235-pound netminder spent three seasons at Northern Michigan prior to signing with the Red Wings after the 2012-13 season.
