Ducks Sign LW Raymond to One-Year Contract

The Ducks have signed left wing Mason Raymond to a one-year, two-way contract through the 2016-17 NHL season. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

Raymond, 30 (9/17/85), has collected 115-136=251 points with 156 penalty minutes (PIM) in 542 career NHL games with Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary. The 6-1, 179-pound forward established career highs in most offensive categories with the Canucks as a linemate of Ryan Kesler in 2009-10, including goals (25), assists (28), points (53), power-play goals (8), power-play points (18) and shots on net (217). Raymond also scored a career-best five game-winning goals with Vancouver the following season, helping lead the club to Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final with 2-6=8 points in 24 playoff games.

Selected by Vancouver in the second round (51st overall) of the 2005 NHL Draft, Raymond split his 10th professional season with Calgary and its American Hockey League (AHL) development affiliate in Stockton in 2015-16. The Cochrane, Alberta native earned 4-1=5 points with eight PIM in 29 games with the Flames along with 6-9=15 points and two PIM in 15 contests for the Stockton Heat.
