The Ducks have signed right wing Jared Boll to a two-year contract through the 2017-18 NHL season. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Boll, 30 (5/13/86), has scored 27-35=62 points with 1,195 penalty minutes (PIM) in 518 career NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Charlotte, NC native has appeared in three career Stanley Cup Playoff games, going scoreless in the 2014 First Round Series vs. Pittsburgh and the 2009 First Round Series vs. Detroit. In 2008-09, Boll appeared in a career-tying 75 regular season games, setting personal bests in assists (10), points (14) and shots (73). In addition, Boll is the Blue Jackets’ all-time leader in penalty minutes.
Selected by Columbus in the fourth round (101st overall) of the 2005 NHL Draft, Boll posted 1-2=3 points with 61 PIM in 30 games with Columbus last season.
