The Detroit Red Wings and Darren Helm on Friday agreed to terms on a five-year deal with an average annual value of $3.85 million.
Helm, 29, is coming off a 13-goal, 26-point season with the Red Wings.
The former fifth-round pick has 72 goals and 162 points in 443 career games, all with Detroit.
