The Chicago Blackhawks managed to defeat the top team in the NHL.

The Blackhawks defeated the Washington Capitals at home on Sunday by a score of 3-2. Goals by Patrick Kanem Jonathan Toews, and Dennis Rasmussen lifted the Blackhawks to victory.

Marcus Johansson and Evgeny Kuznetsov scored for the Capitals.

Braden Holtby made 20 saves for the Capitals, while Corey Crawford made 28 saves for the Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks improved to 39-20-5 with the victory.
