Bruins Recall Randell from Providence Bruins

BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, February 29, that the club has recalled forward Tyler Randell from the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League). Randell will join the team for practice on Monday at Ristuccia Arena.

Randell, in the midst of his first full NHL season, has skated in 25 games with Boston in 2015-16, registering five goals for five points with 47 penalty minutes. He registered his first NHL goal in his first NHL game against the Colorado Avalanche on October 14, 2015.

This season, Randell has played in two games with Providence on a conditioning stint. In parts of five seasons with Providence, the 24-year-old forward has totaled 17 goals and 16 assists for 33 points with 314 penalty minutes in 172 games.

The 6’1”, 198-pound native of Scarborough, Ontario was selected by the Bruins in the sixth round (176th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.
