PREDATORS 3, BLACKHAWKS 1

CHICAGO (AP) — Calle Jarnkrok scored with 1:51 remaining, Pekka Rinne made 38 saves and the streaking Nashville Predators beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 on Thursday night.

Viktor Arvidsson also scored in the first as Nashville won for the fourth time in its last five games and extended its point streak to eight in a row. Miikka Salomaki added an empty-net goal, and Mike Fisher finished with two assists.

It was a lousy ending to a big night for Chicago, which bolstered its shot for a second straight Stanley Cup title by reacquiring forward Andrew Ladd in a trade with Winnipeg announced right before the game. The Blackhawks have lost two in a row and five of seven.

RANGERS 2, BLUES 1

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Chris Kreider and Tanner Glass scored, and Henrik Lundqvist made 35 saves as the New York Rangers beat the St. Louis Blues.

Lundqvist got his 30th victory of the season, joining Martin Brodeur and Patrick Roy as the only goalies in NHL history to have at least 30 wins in 10 different seasons. Lundqvist also passed Mike Richter as the team's all-time regular season saves leader with save on Vladimir Tarasenko's wrist shot late in the first period.

Troy Brouwer scored for the Blues.

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Aleksander Barkov scored two goals in his first game back from an injury, lifting the Florida Panthers over the Arizona Coyotes.

Vincent Trocheck also scored for the Panthers, and Roberto Luongo made 22 saves. Barkov returned to the lineup after missing the last six games with an upper-body injury.

With an assist, 44-year-old Jaromir Jagr became the oldest player to record over 43 points in a season. Jagr has 44 points this season and is four points away from tying Gordie Howe for third in career points (1,850).

Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Shane Doan scored for the Coyotes, who have lost four straight.

FLYERS 3, WILD 2

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Pierre-Edouard Bellemare scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period and Michal Neuvirth made two stellar saves late, helping the Philadelphia Flyers open a six-game homestand with a victory over the Minnesota Wild.

Mark Streit and Sam Gagner also had goals for Philadelphia, which won for just the fourth time in 11 games. The Flyers opened play five points out of a playoff spot, but they needed to leap over five teams.

Thomas Vanek had a goal and an assist and Mikael Granlund also scored for the Wild, who dropped their second straight while falling to 4-2 under interim coach John Torchetti.

HURRICANES 3, MAPLE LEAFS 1

TORONTO (AP) — Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau had a goal and an assist and the Toronto Maple Leafs earned their first victory in nearly two weeks, topping the Carolina Hurricanes.

Brad Boyes and Josh Leivo also scored for Toronto, and Jonathan Bernier made 28 saves for the Leafs, who won for the first time since Feb. 13. It was just the fifth victory in the past 21 games for the Leafs, currently the worst team in the Eastern Conference with 52 points.

John-Michael Liles recorded the only goal for Carolina, and Cam Ward stopped 25 of 28 shots.

JETS 6, STARS 3

DALLAS (AP) — Joel Armia scored twice to double his season total, and the short-handed Winnipeg Jets beat the Dallas Stars.

The Jets were playing without former captain Andrew Ladd, traded to Chicago earlier in the day, and injured center Bryan Little.

ISLANDERS 2, FLAMES 1, OT

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — Josh Bailey scored with 18 seconds left in overtime, Jaroslav Halak made 31 saves, and the New York Islanders rallied past the Calgary Flames.

The Kings increased their Pacific Division lead to four points over Anaheim. The Kings are 16-1-2 in their last 19 meetings with the Oilers, who have the fewest points in the NHL.
