Sven Andrighetto scored in the fifth round of the shootout to give the Montreal Canadiens a 2-1 win against the Carolina Hurricanes at Bell Centre on Sunday.
Montreal goaltender Ben Scrivens made five saves in the shootout.
Scrivens made 34 saves in his second consecutive start for Montreal, including crucial saves on Staal and Jeff Skinner late in the third period.
