Maple Leafs complete trade with San Jose

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the team has acquired the San Jose Sharks’ second-round selections from the 2017 and 2018 Entry Drafts as well as forward Raffi Torres in exchange for defenceman Roman Polak and forward Nick Spaling.

Torres, 34, will be re-assigned to the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League. He has skated in six games with the Barracuda this season.

The Maple Leafs return to the ice Tuesday when they host the Nashville Predators at Air Canada Centre at 7:30 p.m. EST.
